Functional Consultant - CAS Lead

We are seeking a seasoned SAP CASE Management Lead to provide high-level functional expertise within complex S/4HANA and ECC environments. This role is a critical leadership position, responsible for steering client engagements, architecting robust solution designs, and overseeing the functional build to ensure excellence in delivery. You will operate at the intersection of Case Management, Plant Maintenance (PM), and Supply Chain (SCM) within a secure Australian Government framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Functional Architecture: Architect, configure, and deploy SAP CASE Management solutions tailored to meet stringent government operational requirements.
• Stream Leadership: Provide overarching functional guidance across SAP PM and integrated SCM modules, ensuring a cohesive landscape within S/4HANA or ECC.
• Discovery & Design: Lead requirement-gathering workshops and fit-gap analyses to produce comprehensive solution design documents and functional specifications.
• Quality & Validation: Manage the end-to-end testing lifecycle (SIT/UAT), driving defect resolution and maintaining rigorous quality assurance standards.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with developers, data specialists, and change managers to ensure seamless technical execution and business adoption.
• Compliance & Governance: Offer expert advice on master data governance, automated workflows, and integration points, ensuring alignment with government frameworks.
• Deployment Execution: Spearhead cutover strategies, go-live readiness assessments, and hypercare support during the transition to steady-state operations.
• Team Mentorship: Foster a culture of excellence by mentoring junior consultants and driving internal capability uplift.

Required Skills & Experience

• Senior SAP Expertise: Extensive tenure as a Senior Functional Consultant with deep hands-on experience in S/4HANA and ECC.
• Specialised Knowledge: Demonstrated mastery in leading functional streams for both CASE Management and Plant Maintenance.
• Integration Fluency: A sophisticated understanding of the touchpoints between PM, MM, QM, SCM, and complex workflow engines.
• Analytical Problem Solving: Proven ability to convert high-level business needs into scalable, durable SAP solutions.
• Communication: Refined stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex government or highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Security & Governance: Prior experience working within secure zones and adhering to strict audit and compliance protocols.

Security & Eligibility

• Citizenship: Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Mandatory Clearance: Current AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
• Highly Desirable: Active NV1 Security Clearance.

Preferred Attributes

• Practical experience utilising the SAP Activate methodology.
• Familiarity with Australian Government asset management and reporting frameworks.
• Background in consulting for highly regulated sectors or large-scale public sector transformations.
